Travelling Tips by Air
TRNC’s airport is situated 12 km (7 miles) east of Nicosia. Unfortunately due to the TRNC not being internationally recognized all flights to North Cyprus touch down on Turkish mainland first. From Europe touch down is usually to Istanbul,Izmir and Antalya.

Travelling Tips by Sea
Not only do car ferries run all year round from Mersin, southern Turkey, to Famagusta but during the summer there are three other types of ferries from Tasucu, southern Turkey, to the new harbor in Kyrenia. The fastest method for traveling by sea is by taking the ferry that is for passengers only, which carries 250 people, traveling daily except Saturdays and taking a mere 2˝ hours.
An alternative method for passengers with cars is the car ferry, which runs 3 times a week during the summer. The journey takes 6 hours and the capacity of the ferry is 120 cars and 800 passengers. Finally, it is possible to take an old car ferry, which carries 50 cars and 400 passengers. This journey takes a total of 8 hours.
